raw beginnings

goodness gracious. me oh my! my first blog post it's hard to believe. honestly have been dreaming of the day when i would finally sit down and decide to write. i am super excited about what this blog is going to offer.

i decided to create this blog because writing is actually secretly one of my best coping mechanisms with pretty much anything in life. i usually am so paranoid of people reading my writing that i save them as obscure file names on my computer and hide them in random folders. growing up if there was any spare paper around i’d usually be jotting something down, only to store it in my “special box” in my closet hidden away for no one to read. actually even the people that know me the best will be surprised to hear that i am a ‘closet writer.’ recently, very recently i decided to finally share my thoughts with the world. i am a huge fan of pro-con lists so naturally after creating one i realized a blog was the best way to go. i would finally stick to a writing schedule, meet like-minded people, and if my words, actually even just one sentence, was able to help someone, whether it inspired them, related to them, helped them in any sort of way, I made good use of my blog.

this post is entitled raw beginnings because this blog is going to be raw, uncut. my thoughts. no filter. and no caps for now. i am liking the lowercase life! it's the beginning of something beautiful! my blog for now is a safe-haven for me to turn to. when i truly, madly and deeply want to express myself. think the sound "do whatcha want to do." i've never really known what i wanted to do...maybe i will discover so through this. i was not sure what direction i wanted to go with my blog post. whether it should have a theme or not, or just be raw and wholesomely me. and i've decided to go with that. :)

i've always never known what i wanted to do. i am passionate about EVERYTHING. i can care about something in a 5 minute discussion with someone about something that i have never heard about. and like genuinely care about it. i am really hoping this blog is the spark to the fire of passion that i will have for something and someone. i believe everyone has a purpose and life is all about the journey to find it. i spend a lot of my time bursting into random fits of uncontrollable laughter. :)

also i chose the picture because one of my favorite things to do is take pictures of the sky. i just absolutely LOVE the way it changes colors and how they ebb and flow together just like the journey through life. this picture is especially special to me because it was taken during a rough period of time in my life. i am fully confident the universe was smiling at me that day when i looked up and saw this. definitely turned any frown upside down. the sun is the source of eternal life and makes everything what it is and was meant to be. it nurtures and grows us. and makes the beautiful world go round!

i look forward for you to journey with me as i frolic and venture through the wild ride that is life. hope you join me in this adventure, always nice to have a travel buddy! i have so many ideas for blog posts but hadn't taken that first step yet. this is an equivalence to a leap for me.

FUN FOTO FACT:

i love taking pics of the sky. at any moment in time. i could be driving, walking, in class, doing really anything! if i notice the sky and it's exceptionally beautiful, not that it always isn't cause it is, i must take a photo of it. it also makes me stop and think and appreciate the moment. and how small we are in comparison to the horizons beyond, but also how we still matter because of this. this is another blog post waiting to happen at another time. :)
